Brief Description:  Re-painted CB panel

Today I striped the paint off the CB panel to repaint it. After paining the panel I did some solder work. I soldered on the lead to the start arm switch. I also soldered some 14 AWG wire that connect the main bus to the diode that then hooks to the Essential/Avionics bus. I had used a but slice for this previously but did not like the loop in the wire, the soldered joint makes this connection more compact.

Since I have had to re-paint the CB panel due to moving things around this also requires new labels. Not being sure I will have to make labels again I decided to make a cover plate just for the labels, this way I can make changes and only have to remove the cover plate to affix labels and not have to remove all of the CBs. I plan to paint this a silver color which will allow me to use black labels instead of white, the white seems to be more difficult to work with.

I printed up a template for the cover plate and started to drill the holes, I will finish this tomorrow. The trick is trying to get the holes all lined up!
