Cut the wires for the aileron and elevator trim motor and attached ferrules to them. After installing the wires into the terminal block I hooked up the wires for the Safety Trim System and tested the aileron trim. Both sticks run the trim in the proper direction and the 3 second timeout works. Elevator trim will be tested later once I hook up the wires in when the tail is bolted on.
I also checked the reverse switch and it in fact makes the trim motor run opposite the selected direction. The reverse switch is there in case of a runaway trim. As the motor runs in one direction, you can hit the momentary reverse switch and make the motor work opposite the stuck position. As soon as the aircraft feels in trim, you turn the switch off.
