Began assembling the freshly primed baggage door pieces. Unfortunately I have found the lock set I recevied from Van's to operate very poorly, so I will not be able to completely assemble the door at this time.I don't have pictures to show it, but I the door hinge alignment was not what I wanted it to be. Hamilton (my technical counselor) warned me that the hinge would need to set out from the fuselage in order to allow the door to open and close properly. Boy was he right. Despite my best effort to get it aligned properly, the bottom was inset more than desired and it really hindered the door from opening properly. Dangit!!!Unfortunatly the only fix at this point is to order a new baggage door forward frame. Might as well order some hinge while I'm at it since it will have to be redrilled.
