Tonight I tackled hanging the engine. What I thought would end up being a real challenge turned out to be quite easy. I think it was primarily due to the load balancer I bought with my engine hoist. I had read on Tim Olson's site that this is a must have, and he was certainly right. The weight on the front really makes it easy to work on the rest of the airplane now as it is quite stable on the gear. I have to say that I am so far quite pleased with the Mattituck TMX-540 package. You can see in the picture below that they include a filter adapter that will make oil changes a snap. BTW, for those of you concerned about clearances with the engine mount and oil sump - with my TMX I have about 3/8" clearance.
