I was torn between renting an engine hoist or buying one. I checked with the local rental shop and their rate was $35 daily or $140 weekly. I needed to get the engine out of my truck bed before the rain this weekend, however I wasn't ready to hang the engine yet. I checked a couple of tool placed around town and I was able to pick one up for $149. Who knows if I'll ever use it after this, but since I was going to spend the same I figured I would just buy one.
