I used a Brother P-Touch PT1500 PC label printer and TZ-315 labels to label my panel. These are 1/4" wide white on black tapes. Very simple and fairly inexpensive -- picked up a refurbished printer for $44 on eBay. Still waiting on the toggle switch washers.
