Brief Description:  Wing Tank Fitting to Wing

. All fitted well eventually though the Tank fit to the Leading Edge and Spar was tight; screwing the Tank down resulted in a good fit so I thought! The final fixing of the Port tank resulted in the worst fright to date. The wing tank all lined up well it seemed but the skin edges needed that 'double wheelie thing' to stop the edges turning up. Finally, after three attempts when all seemed done there was a INDENT in the leading edge panel nearest the wing tank, it’s one of those embarrassments you don't wish to talk or think about. At three in the morning, sitting bolt upright, the problem was clear... the fit was too tight. Undoing of three tank screws on the joining strap successfully resolved this unsightly concave indent and the nervous worry. Filing 1mm. off the tank skin along the screw line solved the problem. Moral of the story don't try a get heavy handed late into the day.
