Brief Description:  Final Assembly Painting

All the Fuselage Skins were sprayed except the Top Skin which was re ordered owing to some errant dimple holes. The most difficult part of spraying so many skins was the preparation and trying to ensure the spraying occurded within 24 hours of them being Alocromed; this ensures the paint is chemically bonded to the aluminum.

Most power coated parts where re powder coated; the metal work finish of these parts was usually poor and the coating was equally poor. The Weldment parts had paricularly sharp corners and pitted edges.

Screws, bolts and other hardware was inserted into foam and spayed having been cleaned with Acetone.
