Brief Description:  Left Elevator

I trimmed all the stiffeners for the left elevator, clecoed them in place and match drilled them. Then I attached the Trim Access Reinforcement plate and match drilled it. I peeled the plastic off the skin and found corrosion. After I panicked I posted to VAF website for suggestions. Most people said to sand out the corrosion and prime the skin and move on. After a few hours of cleaning I removed all the corrosion. I could not sleep worrying about the corrosion. It would probably be fine. I just would worry about it my whole life so I decided to trash the skin and just order a new one. It's $82 down the drain but as soon as I ruined the skin I felt a huge relief. This is going to be a new plane and I want it to be worry free.
