Brief Description:  Engine testing and timing

Barry Abbot brought his timing light over and we proceeded to start the engine and set the timing. Barry sat behind the controls and I got to get my hair blown off. Turned out great. Ran it for about 10 minutes from 900 to 3000 rpm. No overheating and no leaks. We shut it down and watched. It cooled off properly and not one drip. Barry helped me repack the muffler baffle. I worked on various other items for a while. I then fired it up and taxied to a remote spot for a stronger engine runup. Took it to 4000 rpm, fine pitch and held at this setting for 5 minutes. Idled back to the hangar, let it idle for a short period and shut it down. Cooled right down and no leaks. Enough excitement for 1 day.
