With the FRP hull at the point where the next step is to install the Turtle Deck and the flying surface frames all assembled, save the port wing, it is time to start planning the required Pre-Cover Inspection. In Canada this is handled by a group appointed by the government called the 'Minister's Delegates - Recreation Aviation Inspection Service' (MD-RA). Having previously registered my intent to build a homebuilt airplane I am now free (except for a $395 plus tax fee, plus travel expenses for the inspector) to request an inspection. That was a simple task to fill in the online form and submit the scanned application by e-mail. Gotta get that port wing assembled pronto!
