At the final inspection I need to show the plane's registration papers. So I spent a couple of hours filling in Transport Canada form 26-0552E and emailing it in. Along with the filled in form I included a photo of the installed identification plate and copies of the kit bill of sale, my passport, and a receipt for the fee of $110. Two months later I finally heard from TC when they emailed a request for a signed statement that I built and owned the plane and form C16E signed by the MD-RA inspector back at the pre-cover inspection in August 2015. The former was easy, the latter, the C16E was problematic as I no longer had it. I must have had it in August 2015 as it would have been faxed in to TC to get my registration marks, but I don't have it now. So now I am chasing someone at MD-RA to get a copy of it to send to TC to finally finish my registration process. Bureaucracy!!! At this time I also worked on finalized filling in two other MDRA forms required for the final inspection; the fuel flow report C014E and the weight & balance report C17E.
