Brief Description:  Checking out Pitot/AOA/Static systems

Checking out the pitot/AOA probe and tubing, the static ports and tubing, and the functioning of the ASI guage and the relevant parts of the Dynon EFIS took an inordinate amount of hours, spread over seven sessions. The main difficulties included defective tubing quick connectors, not square tube cut ends, backwards connection of the static and pitot tubes to the ASI, insufficient temporary sealing of the static ports, and the need to pull off the temporarily installed bow deck and windshield to get at the tubing lying underneath. Besides that, it was easy-peasy.
I used a YouTube video from HomebuiltHELP as my guide - https://youtu.be/DN-74HluxC0
Basically the check involved using a small syringe to put pressure in the pitot tubing and seeing a speed indication on the VSI analog guage and the EFIS display. Drawing a vacuum in the static tubing resulted in indications on the Altitude and Vertical Speed Indicators on the EFIS display.
