Brief Description:  Front Fork

Did not take good before/after pics here but

had to drill out the front fork from small hole (not pictured) to 1/4" to accept the larger "tundra" tires. The new axle is definitely a step up fro the standard set up pictured in the manual, Doug was super helpful using his advanced machine skills to insure we drilled exactly on center the original holes. Something I dont like is that they are actually Carlisle"Turf Glide" tires meant for heavier duty golf cart type utility verhicles. would have preferred airplane specific tires, but they do appear to be sturdy enogh.

Then, due to the larger profile of the tire, the shoulder came into contact with the inner fork stiffener. easily disassembled, the stiffener was shortedned about 3/16" on each side at a bevel to allow clearance. Still pretty tight, Doug the car guy gave me the image of a drag car tire distorting under load to worry about, but I think this is a different situation, load wise.
