Brief Description:  Main Gear

This took more waiting time than actual work. Much difficulty packing all the main gear hard rubber bushings in place. the boplts are about 3 threads short and I am actually concerned that they may have been overtorqued to get them where they are.

This needs to be corrected before flight with longer bolts and should be able to be done one at a time while sitting upright.

installation required a piece of 3/3 lumberfrom the crate inserted through the cabin and ratchet straps pulling the LG into place so bolts could be started. Thanks to Eric Giles for the tip. Coincidentally, Skykits was at this stage with thier first XL construction the weekend before I was. Apparently, the new XL gear mount is diffent than standard.

Now that it is on the ground, it looks big and small at the same time. Is very solid and sturdy on the ground. Needed to girls and two guys to flip it baack over with all that new weight attached, but for as big as it is, its very light.
