Brief Description:  Front Cowling

I am al;ways amazed at how well things eventuually line up. For complicated bends and multiple layers, after a bit of fiddling with things, it alwayss lines up eventually. The cowling was tricky as the instructions very poorly show the order in which everything is installed. A great example is the cowling and the canopy frame. If you look closely, you can see that the canopy frame actually reached THROUGH the cowling, and attached to the engine mount through the firewall. Much fiddling and lining up and a few whispered prayers before drilling holes in the firewall. for that connection. Instructions actually showed the installation of the canopy frame in previous steps to the rear fuselage and this is not easily reversable. if it were completely installed, it obviously becomes impossible to put the cowling on, unless you were a magician that could apply the skills of the "joining rings" to aircraft building. So I had to remove the engine mount, flex the cabin frame down and jimmy the cowling up and around the tubes of the frame. Managed to do it without bending permanently or scratching enything. Turned out good, but took a while.
