Brief Description: Prepped new F-01272-1 and Fwd Lower Fuse
Deburred, Alumiprepped, Alodined, and Zinc Phosphated replacement F-01272-1. Machine Coutersunk #40 the nutplate attach holes in the bottom surface of F-01272-1 properly per figure 2 page 22iS/U-03.
Cleco'ed then riveted the F-01217-L & -R to the F-01272-1 using LP4-3 rivets and 3 each K1000-3 nutplates secured with AN426AD3-4 and CCR264SS-3-2 rivets per figure 2 page 22iS/U-04.
Scuffed the bend radi around the aft side of the firewall perimeter and the top flange as well as the mating skins and cleaned all parts for good adhesion. Cleco'ed together F-01201C-1, F-01217-L &-R, and F-01272-1 per figure 1 page 21iS/U-05. Riveted these parts using LP4-3 rivets per same figure. Riveted 7 K1000-3 nutplates to the bottom flange of F-01201C-1 and the fwd edge of F-01272-1 per same figure 2 same page.
Smeared Fuel Tank Sealant on the top surface of the top flange of the F-01201C-1, then cleco'ed and riveted F-01201B-1 and all F-01257-1 using LP4-3 rivets per same figure. Placed a filet of sealant along the inside corner formed by the firewall and bottom skin in between the F-01217-L & -R per figure 1 same page.
Cleco'ed the FF-01204D-L-1 & -R-1 and FF00088A & B to the F-01201C-1 per figure 2 same page. Machine countersunk the screw holes in the FF-00089 for MS24694-C14 screws per figure 2 same page. Attached the FF-00089 per same figure using MS24694-C14 Screws, NAS1149FN832P washers, and MS21042-08 nuts including FF-00093 bushings. Final drill not required. Riveted the FF-00088A & B and FF-01240D-L-1 &-R-1 to the F-01201C-1 using LP4-3 rivets per same figure.
