Brief Description:  Continue canopy frame

Cut two bushing for canopy hinge pins, deburred, cleaned, and alodined fresh metal in drilled-reamed hinge holes and bushings. Replaced frame in fuselage--hurray--it properly swings without binding!! Whew.

Dimpled upper forward fuselage skin F-771 and correspond rib/firewall locations. Should have done this much earlier. Instructions say this skin should be riveted at this point but that would make future instrument/engine work really difficult. With F-771 skin and canopy frame/C-702 skin all clecoed back, there was 0" clearance between center aft F-771 and center forward C-702. So ground off 1/16" - 1/32" inch of center 2/3 of forward C-702. Gap now about 1/16" - 1/8" all around. However now on swinging up canopy frame, it interferes with center aft of F-771. Could grind off more, but it seems the problem is the forward C-702 is too low. Made some shims of 0.032 scrap and tried that...might need thicker shims. More experiments tomorrow.
