Brief Description: Heat resistant spray paint and reinstall
Intumescent caulk used to fill gaps around recess and firewall. Used a rattle can of silver-colored heat resistant paint to cover the Contego intumescent paint; the latter is like a latex and susceptible to gasoline and oil. Several coats applied, let dry an hour, then the battery box, relays, and brake fluid reservoir reinstalled.
