Brief Description:

Today is commute to work day, which kind of hangs over you all day. You are checking flights, seeing who else is listed for travel, what's the passenger count, checking the weather, etc. Hard to get much done, but I managed a little.

The middle four rivets of the front spar (two top and bottom) are flush riveted on the aft side. One of the best things I did was buy two countersinks (aluminum sheet beyond a certain thickness can't be dimpled, it must be countersunk). Using scrap I set one countersink for #30, and one for #40. Once set, they stay until reset, so no time or scrap wasted on resetting for -4 or -3 rivets. I painted a pink/red stripe around the #30 with nail polish to make it easy to distinguish.

The other thing I'm glad I did was to use the single flute countersinks from Cleaveland Tool. The surface of the countersink is polished smooth. Watch the video at:

You can see my shavings on the bench (Referenced in the video, By the way, I am in no way compensated by Cleaveland Tool. They gladly accept my money, yet strangely don't offer any back?)
