Today I consider a good victory. I had been struggling with the instructions for drilling out the HS-00001 spar doublers. They tell you to cleco HS-714 and HS-710 reinforcements (pic 3) then also clamping HS-00001 spar doublers and match drilling them. The problem is if the reinforcements are clecoed in, you can't clamp the doublers on. After clecoing the reinforcements on the spars, I saw that I could have 3 clecos to line up reinforcements and keep everything straight while I clamped HS-00001 on the right side (the middle cleco's are under the spar). Pic 2 shows all aft holes match drilled and clecoed on the right spar. After the left doubler the spar was flipped over and match drilled on the forward side. The tape covers holes that will be drilled to 3/16 when mating to fuselage.
Funny how I am spending summer days at home in an 85 degree garage. Of course it's 95 outside. Building a home built is a very specific insanity.
