After several days of work on page 6-3, I finally completed it.
I countersunk the lower #40 holes in the rear VS spare according to the plans, and dimpled the upper holes. The plans call for the holes to be deep enough for the dimple in the skins to sit inside the hole. I dimpled a scrape piece of aluminum to test with and it took much more removal than I expected. I wanted the skin to sit flush, so I had to sneak up on the appropriate Micro-Stop countersink setting.
I dimpled the VS ribs today too. I could do most of them with the DRDT-2, but it took the pop rivet dimpler to get some of the holes.
