Brief Description:  Cutting and preparing Lead Counterbalances

This is not a great task. I would have thought there would be an aftermarket opportunity here. Maybe I need to set something up. Cutting Lead weights is not my idea of fun. I broke my bandsaw blade a couple of weeks ago and have not managed to get a replacement as yet, so I was using a wood blade in it that didnt like to track straight when cuting metals. As a result, it would dig in every now and then. The weights from Vans are "loosely assembled. They have shards of lead that peel out, so a poorly tracking blade really just doesnt help. I ended up with a bot of variation in the weight of the elements so mixed and matched the parts to end up with 1004 grams on one side and 1001 grams on the other. Even, but not clear if they are going to be heavy enough for final balance. I will test them during assembly and if they are not heavy enough, I will get some more from Vans and redo them. The painted versions are a bit less ugly, bit still, these are not lookers... Anyone want to do a Tungsten version?
