This is a small but satisfying piece of work. It is the last item that is buttoned up on the now sealed trailing edge. Dont get confused by the diagram on page 9.13 which implies that the shear clip is on the inside of the tabs The tab and clip is correctly drawn on page 9.15.
It might have been nice if the shear clip was on the inside of the tabs rather than the outside. I guess that being on the outside is defensive design to ensure an accurate edge next to the trim tab, with any play being taken up by the tabs themselves.
