I have been very busy at work for the past 3-4 weeks, unable to do anything on aircraft. I ordered all the avionic's last week, a complete Garmin twin screen panel. Errol, the Sling agent here in Australia, is coming down to an airshow in about three weeks time and he will deliver them. My dash board is an early edition dash and does not have any reinforcing. I heard that some early dashs would buckle in the sun ( hence later dashes have reinforcing ). I sourced some "Coremat" which is a strengthening material. JAC is home for Easter ( not at work ) so we attacked the dash to install the "Coremat", which I have been putting off for quite some time. It went on very well, with two sets of hands. Firstly a layer of fibreglass resin, lay Coremat down and thorougly wet, cover with fibreglass matting and roll fibreglass resin all over. So my dash should be much stronger now and hopefully will not buckle in the Australian sun.
