I had done a " Weight and Balance " course some time ago, which allows me do the W&B on my own aircraft. However the authority was only valid for two years and it had expired. Last weekend I did an online refresher exam and the W&B authority has been reissued for another two years. Today I drained the usable fuel from the aircraft and installed some centre console panels and carpets to prepare the aircraft for weighing. I will pickup the cerified weighing scales later this week in Sydney. Thanks to BDH I have a plinth for the compass, which I will paint black.
