I almost forgot about the aileron trim tab this evening! I was getting ready to dis-assemble the ailerons and prime and rivet them when something told me to step back and think for a minute....thank-you guardian angel!
I layed out the trim tab per the plans and also located the access panel on the bottom of the aileron. Remeber you are doing this on the left aileron only. The drawing is a bit ambiguous about the location of the access panel, so I put mine so the edge of the cover panel would be 10mm from the front edge of the skin. I actually put the cover on the skin, traced it and then centered the 72x72mm opening inside it. Worked fine.
Tomorrow I will cut out the trim tab from the aileron skin and finish up the fabrication.
