-Cut out the support/retention brackets for the filter. In test fittng the two side brackets won't allow the filter to seat so I'll just use one. These are overkill anyway as the filter sets on the snorkel in a manner that keeps it position without the supports. The plans call for 3 supports, with the front absent. -Trial fit on the airplane. The aft support needed to be bent to match the inlet ramp so out comes the cheapo brake. -Train refit - looking good. Time to drill some holes but I ran out of time. The hole that I traced from the snorkel onto the ramp didn't work out that well. The filter isn't perfectly centered, but the top retainers will cover up this mistake.
