As part of my panel reinstall I did some power on testing with the battery. Found my panel lights didn't work, blew the fuse - wierd. Long story short I spend 4 hours pulling my panel out (the one I just put in) and chasing my wiring around only to find that my stupid LED strip glareshield mounted panel light has an internal short. This is the second one I have had, first one was broken in the box. This one worked good and installed with no issues, but it's grounding itself out somehow. The wires are not chaffed so it must be where it sticks to the glareshield or more likely it inside itself somewhere! I wrote both Stein, who I bought it from and the OEM to tell them how unhappy I am with this product. Seeking a refund from Stein on it. With my all EFIS panel it really didn't serve much purpose so I'll leave it out for now. What a waste!
