Brief Description: EFIS troubleshooting and EMS harnesses and pitot s
Spent about an 1 1/2 trying to figure out why the CDI on my EFIS isn't displaying either of the GPS inputs (696 and 300XL). I went back and forth looking at the wiring - it's really simple so most of the focus was configuration of the 696 and the EFIS. Still no luck. I'm sure it's something silly I screw'd up. I posted on the AFS forum for help - we'll see. Admitting defeat I decided to route the Engine Monitoring System (EMS) harness - yes there are two. One for EGT/CHT and one for everything else and I do mean everything. The EFIS is truely the nerve center for the airplane and almost everything goes through it. I didn't do any wiring just got the bundles through the firewall.
Next I hooked up the static system and started on the pitot. I still need to route the pitot tube from the wing route up to the back of the panel.
EMS bundles. Top should the main bundle going through the bulkheads
Top shows the tubing connectors I put on the Dynon and AFS. Bottom white is static green is pitot.
