Brief Description: Wiring up the AFS/300XL/696/327 #1
Time to wire up the 300XL, AFS3500, 696, and finsih wiring the xponder. I started with the normal amount of head scratching and finally got down to business this morning. -Sorted out the where the wires would go (which bundle, etc) for most of the wires. -Routed the OAT wire and terminated it into the right wing root area -Idenfied the grounds on the 696, 300XL and AFS and ran them to the panel ground (pic 1) -Hooked up the signal wire (serial #3) for the 696 to talk to the AFS -Started to wire the xponder for the encoder input off the AFS and the pin that Stein says to use on the xponder doesn't have a wire from the Dsub I have with it, so I'll wire up a new one - I didn't like the one that came with it - removed from an aircraft and they just cut all the wires. This will be better to have a new, clean D sub going in there. -Wired up the power and ground on the 696 after trimming back the Stein supplied cable.
