Brief Description:  Canopy Frame #3

Since my replacement part came in this week I can move back to fitting the canopy frame. I carefully located the hole in the F661 and drilled it for the pin that will attach it to the canopy frame. I c/s the right hole for a flush fit and drilled the cotter pin hole and attached everything to the canopy frame.
I put the frame rollers together and slide them onto the canopy rails and fit the canopy to the fuselage. I have to figure out what to the do with the F821 top fuselage skin that's interferring with the frame. Also I may actually have drilled the F661 to low to allow the pin to slide just above (1/16 to 3/32 tolerance and I have 0) the center rail - unbelievable. Luckily it's a $11 part and it doen't take anytime to drill the hole. The plans say to pin it on and then make sure you have the tolerance, and that implies that the hole is drilled and the pin is installed - it should say 'clamp' so dumb people like me don't mess this up twice - oh well. I can build on and fix that later.
