-Cut a short section out of the canopy center rail so the teflon dolly that the aft portion of the canopy travels on can come off the track without removing it or the empenage fairing/vertical stab. I chose a section that already had a #6 screw. I have access to the nut due to the smoke oil filler access hole otherwise a nutplate would be in order. The dolly slides over the modified section without interferance.
Quick and easy. This mod took about as much time as one instance of removing the canopy using the factory method - not that there is a factory method.
Section removed allows the canopy to come off for servicing
