Well I continued to rivet on the left flap this morning. I had to remove the previously installed nutplate on the end rib because I could buck the rivet directly above it - the plans are a little vague on the flaps and even though they are "the easiest part" according to Vans, if the instructions don't help you out then they get harder by the minute. I got around that issue and then fought with the blind rivets that tie the spar to the ribs and the top ones don't leave any room for a pop riveter! I made it work, but it wasn't fun and I have a couple of small creases in the skin - hopefully it will be out of sight one they are on the wings. Anyway. I have the top row of rivets that tie the skin to the spar and the outboard rib to install and then it's bascially done.
Squeezing a few -4s into the 406A bracket.
Shooting the rivets that tie the inboard rib to the top skin.
Blind riveting the ribs to the spar - this one's easy but that cleco below it is a bear x4.
