Brief Description:  Flaps #1

Started on the flaps this morning. Not a blinding pace as I was trying to figure out the plans, etc. plus this isn't a race anyway, right? Well I focused on the left flap in keeping with my theme that the aircraft will be beautiful from the right side! I deburred the lightning holes on the spars and smoothed with some emery cloth. I then match drilled the ribs to the spar per the plan and then cleco'd on the bottom skin and match drilled the rear spar part of the bottom skin to the ribs. I also fabricated the spacers that go on each end of the flap to allow the top skin to set flush with the trailing edge of the end ribs. I will be out of town tomorrow for work, but hopefully I can jump back on Wed where I left off. I need to match drill the bottom skins to the ribs and then press on with the plans.
