I managed to get back out into the garage this afternoon. The focus was to drill and counter-sink the screw holes that attach the lense to the wing skin. I hate drilling into plexiglass so I held my breath. It worked out ok. I didn't have any cracks but I did chip a couple of holes when the drill bit "grabbed." Those could turn into cracks later on. Since it isn't structural, I'll run it and see how it goes. Otherwise, I was happy to get past the plexiglass stage and on to finishing the landing light on the left wing. I drilled, deburred, and riveted the lense attach brace nutplates too. I still have a couple of more things to do, before I move to the right wing landing light.
Drilling the lense! Carefully!!!
Lense attach reinforcments with nutplates installed.
