Brief Description:  Landing light installation #2 (left)

Up early this morning before work and started cutting metal on the landing light for the left wing. Nothing like taking a powertool to something you spent hours coddling into an airplane part. There it is all bright and shiny and with all the noise and fury of a jack hammer you slice it open like a tin can. Oh well, luckily I didn't slip with the dremmel tool and the rough cut out for the landing light lense was a success. I then when to the tin snips to cut it ever closer to the reference lines and then just started to grind it down to it's final form when I ran out of time. Funny how work gets in the way of my projects. To recap, I roughed it out with the dremmel and a cutoff wheel about 1/4" from the line. Then I cut it down to about an 1/8 with the tin snips. And then I'm grinding and sanding down from there - carefully!!! Don't rush Owens!

Hard to tell but I'm getting very close to the marked line on the bottom. I will proceed with caution!
