Brief Description:  1st power on tests

Today was a benchmark day. I powered up the DC power distribution system and a some of the avionics.
-I routed the start wire and main pwr distribution wire through the firewall pentration (see previous post) and connected them to the starter contactor. I then connected the start contactor lead from the start button to the contactor.
-I then rechecked all the loose wires that needed to be bundled and secured so there was no chance of a short. Those wires were (regulator, AFS, 300XL, and 696) since I don't have those components or harnesses yet.
-I also tripped all the c/b
-I then hooked up the battery - no smoke
-I then turned on my hot batt bus powered flood lights - worked, no smoke
-I then turned on the batt switch - batt contactor clicked, no smoke
-Put in the breakers for the avoincs and avioncs bus and e-bus and starter contactor
-Turned on avoinics bus and Dynon fired right up - no smoke
-696 was turned on via batt as I'm waiting for the power wire from Stein along with my AFS3500EE and the harness for the GNC 300XL.

I also located and drilled the holes for the AFS magnometer using the specs from the installation manual onto the aft deck so I can go ahead and reinstall my vertical stab in preparation for working on the fiberglass tail fairing.
