Brief Description: VS lightning holes & primer prep
Sydney, Mitchel, and I went out after supper and started on the lightning holes in the rear spar reinforcement. Used a hole saw set my buddy Greg Schroeder loaned me, worked good but slow going even with plenty of lube. Took over an hour to get everything done just to save ounces, but I'm glad I didn't skip this optional step. Mitchel and Syd worked on scuffing the ribs and spars in preparation for priming. I will countersink the lower rear spar reinforcement rivet holes tomorrow morning and finish the prep work for priming. Hopefully I can shoot the primer first thing after work. I would love to rivet everything together this weekend!
