Brief Description:  A little about me

I am a 40 year old, married, father of 3. I have been flying airplanes since I was 14 and have flown professionally all my life, it is all I know how to do.
I have been very lucky to have been exposed to expermental aircraft early in my career through a fellow named Jim Brewer of Duncan, Oklahoma (my home town), who owned the FBO there. Jim hired me as instructor and he always had neat airplanes around, volksplane, starduster, Twin Beech, Navion, Luscombe, pulsar, etc - you name it, it was there. Jim has rebuilt more airplanes than I can count and is an outstanding pilot. He helped me with a couple of rebuild projects in my early 20s which planted the EAA seed. He also recommended me for a job as test/demo pilot for FEW who made 2/3 scale all composite P-51s - it was a great job for a young guy and I learned alot about composite aircraft, etc.
Once the Mustange project wound down I went back to building time for that "dream job" and ended up at NetJets in 1996 where I got away from "sport flying."
After the last 12 yrs of marriage and raising kids, I am proud to say that I am coming back to my roots. The RV-8 fits my needs perfectly for a light IFR, gentleman aerobatic mount and formation platform. I can't wait to fly it, but I am also really enjoying the building process.
