Finished up the radio rack - such that it is. I match drilled angle attachment holes using the ones I layed out in the panel and deburred. I then cleco'd everything together and checked how the radios slid in and out. I had to make a little grove under the transponder to accomodate the little latch that holes it in place. Then I opened up the upper right hand corner as it was hanging up the GPS/COM. No everything fits get. I elected not to rivet in the angles so the panel is easier to work with (read lay flat) for drilling and fitting the other boxes.
Also got my 696 and D60 last night - Thanks to Paul at Stein!!!!! I sorta trial fit the 696. Looks like the installation will be dirt-simple. I played with the 696 last night after Greg's EAA Homebuilder visit and I love that thing!
