Since I won't be hanging my engine for a few more months I wanted to pickle it as best I could. After researching I heard everything from dessicent rigs to filling the engine all the way to the top with oil. Since my engine is setting on a couple of tires the exhaust and intake is off so I have some big holes in my engine that I need to address before I do anything else. First thing, I used the exhaust and intake flanges as templates and cut out 8 plexiglass flanges that will bolt to each head. That takes care of 8 big holes. Next I went to the local Lowes aviation section (plumbing in this case) and secured 4 of the 2" expandable plugs used for plumbing applications. Thanks to my buddy Greg for passing on that tip. 4 more holes plugged. Next my buddy Jim loaned me 4 dessicent plugs so I took the top spark plugs out and installed those. I still need to figure out how to plug the big AN oil line fittings, hopefully harbor freight will have those. After I was done, I wrapped it back up with the tarp and called it a day.

Plexi covers installed - you can barely tell they are there.
