Brief Description: Mid Cabin covers and throttle quadrant
Drilled and deburred the right longeron for the mid cabin cover nutplates (2) and installed the nutplates. Riveted the nutplates onto the throttle quadrant cover per the plans. (had to dimple the cover first) Started to attach the deluxe DJM throttle quadrant onto the throttle quadrant attach bracket and discovered the thru bolts on the quadrant were too short with the addition of the bracket. Scratching my head, I stopped for the morning.
Post Script: after researching VAF I found no one else has ran into this problem and then I remembered I ordered the quadrant from Aircraft Spruce not from Vans. I'm sure the ones Van's sells have the hardware specific for the installation. - duh! Oh well, luckily I had time at lunch to run over to Lane Aviation, thanks Steve! and secure the AN3-24A's that are needed. Tomorrow will tell.
