Frustrating day today. Spent over 2hrs trying to get the flap weldment to properly bolt into position. After chamfering the id of the bearing to narrow the overall assembly and facilitate the bolt holes lining up, I still couldn't get the left side to start. Finally I just tried getting a bolt in the hole without the assembly and discovered that I used the wrong nutplate when I installed them months prior- urghhh!!!! Now I had to drill it out and put the proper one in place in a less than optimum location! After acoomplishing that I still couldn't get a bolt in. I ran a tap down the nutplate, left the floorboards and the assembly out and every combination. There is not a lot of room and the seat belt brackets and arm rests/bulkheads make getting the long bolt straight enough to start. I finally retreated to fight another day! Probably the most frustrated I have been since I began the entire project - not a good day.
Here's the goal - install the aft bolt (L/R) and match drill the fwd hole - yeah right!!!
