One area that I didn't do on the wings was install the nutplates for the 3 inspection covers that are on the bottom of each wing. Since I'm in a holding pattern on my fuse awaiting a shipment of 250 3/32" cleco's I decided to knock those out.
-I drilled out the rivet holes for #40 (3/32) on each wing (16 per inspection hole and 3 holes per wing). -Drilled out #19 the screw holes for the 8 nutplate locations on each hole. -Deburred the above. -Dimpled the 3/32 holes in the wing skin and dimpled the nutplates themselves to accept the skin dimples. -Dimpled screw holes. -Riveted all of the nutplates onto the right wing (ran out of time to finsih the left wing-next session).
Good progress.
