With the onset of Christmas I lost some momentum. I started riveting the flap braces on and it was disasterous. I drilled out about as many rivets as I installed and my results were very inconsistent. I didn't experiment too much as I didn't have much time. It was good because I needed to think about what I was doing. I have never liked shooting AN470 rivets as it is so easy to 'smiley*' the top of the rivet (button head). A smiley is when the gun bounces and comes back down off center and puts a nice crescent indent into the top of the rivet that looks like a smile.
Here I am trying to shoot these rivets and not having consistent results. - ugh!
Note the big smiley on the rivet right above the lightning hole.
