Brief Description: Rear spar preparation for assembly
Got a lot done on the rear spar today. Was able to finish match drilling all three doublers on each spar and cut out the aileron pushrod holes per the plans. I dimpled the rear spar-to-skin-flanges in the area of the big (thick) doubler per the plans because you can't get to the holes to dimple once the doubler is riveted into place. Makes me wonder how I am suppose to rivet the skins on if I can't get into there to dimple it - oh well, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Also deburred everything. Next step is scuff everything for priming and then the riveting (of the rear spar) can begin!
Roughed out hole for aileron pushrod w/uni-bit will finish with dremel tool
Match drilling the rear spar doubler to the spar (#30 bit for AD4 rivets)
Dimpling the flange that will eventually attach to the skins before the big doubler goes in.
