-Trimmed oil door with dremel -Sanded the opening on the cowling to get a better fit -Did final fitting and sanding on the oil door. -Drilled holes for latch and cleco'd on the camloc latch -Located hinge and drilled holes in door and cowl -Test fit everything. Needed to slim the hinge slightly to reduce a bulb in the back of the door -Also put the heat gun on the door - that didn't help much -Deburred and c/s as necessary -Riveted the latch and hinge
-Marked and trimmed the extra material that I added to the bottom of the lower cowl on the right side -Trimmed some of the extra material on the lower cowl around the inlets -Drilled out bottom hinges and replaced with solid .035 strips that will accomodate nutplates - re-riveted. -Reinstalled lower cowl -Reinstalled upper cowl -Test fit the cowl and the pin retain covers - the left one needs some work (not setting level in the recess)
50 hrs on the cowl at this point
