I actually worked on the gear fairings for the first :20 minutes or so. I sanded the previous skim coat and added another.
I then trimmed away part of the empennage fairing so I could create a better radius around the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer. I added clay in that area to help the fiberglass form correctly. I then marked off where I wanted to add material to the fairing at the uppper and lower leading edges in the center. I scuffed the empennage with 36 grit to aid adhesion. I have everything prepped and ready to go to lay this all up - execpt I need more peal ply - there's always something!

Here you can see the clay layed into the areas to help transition the glass,
