Brief Description:  Cowling and canopy

Riveted the canopy skirts together and repainted them.
Continued fitting the cowls. Cut the slot for the nose wheel and set the bottom cowl into place. Noticed that together they weren't quite centre, so adjusted top left hand side of cowl to bring it around a bit. Left my packer out, so over did it. Will sort out later, ony a 1/16" too much.
Did the 2" mark and measure back to get the length of the bottom cowl and cut it. Close, but needs a bit of touch up. Riveted the hinges onto the front of the fuselage, to make sure it all fits OK and doesn't move after I cut it all.
Got so hot, Janice and I went for a swim. Has to be hot in Augusta to do that, as the water here is freezing. Do it about 3 times a year. The fibreglass dust is making me itch a lot when I sweat.
Riveted the lower skirts on the canopy, then made a couple of adjustments. The last two rivets hit the rear anchor block. Countersunk them from the inside and used a smaller rivet. Seemed to work fine.
Lastly I clecoed the canopy onto the frame. Will start finishing in the morning.
